Hello stamping friends!! It's time for another new release hop this week over at Digi Darla's! We'll be showcasing some of the JULY new releases at our sister site - Digital Stamp Club!! Each of us on the DT chose an image from all of the July releases to show you and guess what!! Each one of us will be choosing one lucky winning comment to receive our image choice!! So, let's get this party started, shall we?? If you've arrived here from DigiDarla's Challenge Blog then you are on the right track!! If you're just arriving, please be sure to start at the very beginning, Denise's blog, so you don't miss one thing!! Our challenge this week is "Musical Lyrics" - we want to see a musical lyric on your creation. Any era, genre, it's completely up to you. Can even be a children's song!
And here's my creation using Digi Darla's "Beach Retreat". This is perfect bc this is just what I want to be doing when the weather is HOT! I choose the song "IN THE SUMMER TIME" by Mungo Jerry. It's a twisted easel card.
I colored the image with Copic Marker"s. I used Cuttlebug to cut out my label and the rest were stickers from my stash except the musical note's are from a punch.
This was so much fun, I made a second card It's DD "Free Rider" For that one I chose the song "Free Ride" by Edgar Winter. (I bet you guys think I'm an old hippie, YOUR RIGHT!!!
This is a step card. I colored my image with Copic's and used an embossing folder from Cuttlebug, the rest is stickers, except I used a word window punch from SU for my sentiment.
