Color Me Creative #46

The challenge at Color Me Creative is all about "Big Hair" I know something about that since I'm a hairdresser!
I chose a cute little boy from Digi Darla's Designs and made it into a scalloped card with spellbinders. He has some big hair!
Don't you just love mistakes. I made my card with spellbinders and on the top there was two perfect holes for some fibers. I added some bling and popped up my image with pop dots.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ # 145

Stampin' Sisters in Christ is inspired by scripture and there's new one every Sunday! This week the scripture is:

Psalm 46:10 "Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
The challenge is:

Use FLAGS or BANNERS in your creation
(ie. create your own flags or banners… or in your paper, image)

I made a US flag in my digital software from Stampin' Up.
My digi is from Digi Darla's that I colored with copics and then "fussy cut it out and popped it up over my flag.
This card is a Happy Birthday card I made for this little boy. I know not a typical birthday card but his birthday is on July 4th.
I put my sentiment on the inside. (oh ya, I forgot, it's an easel card!)

Digi Darla's #17

This week at Digi Darla's we are being sponsored by Bugaboo stamps.
It's my turn to do a Digi Darla's image. It's "Summer Time" and it's perfect bc I'm challenge co-ordinator on LMCB and I already had this image colored, since my LO was digital, I scanned it & added it as a pic but I love this image! This my card when it's all folded up.
I found this card on Youtube but I had to make my own instructions. I added some stickers and a belly band. The flower is a combo of teabag folding and origami. I embossed with a folder from SU and My label is also from SU.
Here it is open.
I used an embossing folder from cuttlebug in my Big shot. The 2 pics are from my digital software from SU. I used spellbinders to cut out the windows.

My LO is digital and my beautiful butterflies from Digi Darla's, I colored in Paintbrush. I colored them B&W bc my LO was so colorful, that they showed up better that way! I was stumped as to what pic to chose so I went shopping on my friends FB (she always has some wonderful pics)

Card Makin' Mamas #47

Digi Darla's is sponsoring Card Makin' Mamas for the rest of this week! I made a tie card! It's a special man card.
I went shopping with my brother for a tie lot's of years ago and it took
F O R E V E R... He explained to me he wasn't going to buy a tie with dancing people on it and as a joke I looked high & low for a tie with dancing people on it and could not find one so I made it. (after I saw a comment that Digi Darla made to another DT member!) I used my Stampin' Up digital software and I colored two Digi Darla's images (Dancing Grandma & Gramps) in paintbrush.  I also used a window punch from SU for my sentiment.

Digi Darla's #16

This week we are layering up our creations! I used one of my very own inspiration photo's from a Fav Artist "Woody Crumbo" a famous indian artist that my Grandparents knew!
Even though it looks like a double easel card it's not,  I embossed my frame with a cuttlebug folder in my bigshot, it wasn't long enough so I had to emboss 2 and I couldn't throw away my trash. I made my main LO with lots of layering in my digital software from Stampin' Up. I colored Digi Darla's Mascott Mustangs 1 & 2 in the paint program Paintbrush. (Of course I had to add some bling!)

Digi Darla's #15

We are "Celebrating Dad" or another special man in our life! I picked my Uncle who just passed away!
We are being sponsored by Floppy Latte!

THANK YOU! I chose the image "Hot Rod". I created a LO in my digital software (Stampin' Up) It's a hybrid, I printed the digi out and colored it with copic markers to match the stock car then popped it out with dimensional dots. I tore it out and distressed it abit to make it look old and I put some metal labels, just for decoration!
I also had to make a card out of a Digi Darla's image. I picked two  and made a folded shirt out of my Stampin Up digital sotware. The 2 images I picked are "Linebacker (already colored) and "All Star Football (I colored in paintbrush)"

Lasting Memories #92

This week we're "Sweating to the oldies" at Lasting Memories. Pick a tune from the 50's to the 70's that inspires you to do a LO. I chose "The Mighty Quinn" bc my niece just couldn't say Gwen, it always came out Quinn and it reminded me of this song!
My Grandmother was pretty famous for cutting off peoples heads so Michaela (my niece) got a Digi Darla's hat (which I painted in Paintbrush) and so as they matched, SO DID GWEN!LOL!!
If you need some extra inspiration use this sketch. It's not required but you are welcome to use it, I DID!
And if that's not enough, Kimberly is giving this wonderful prize to the winner. MEMBER YOU CAN'T WIN UNLESS YOU ENTER! DON'T FORGET TO FOLLOW KAREN AT LASTING MEMORIES. SHE'S GETTING CLOSE TO 300 FOLLOWERS!

My doggies

We just bought a little pool for my doggies and they're a little afraid to get they're nose under the water!

Digi Darla's #14

This is a FUN challenge! Let's play Tic-Tac-Toe!
Well, move over Tyra Banks! I picked "Ribbon, Gems and Embossing.
Isn't she BEAUTIFUL!! I colored her with copics, added Ribbon to her hair and to the tag. Put some Bling on the ribbon in her hair bow, earrings and belt, Embossed with an embossing folder from SU. (Vintage Wallpaper.) I wanted to see if my Bigshot would emboss thicker metal and it did! I also used a stamp for my sentiment (Elizabeth) Thought my sentiment was quite appropriate for my beautiful image!

Lasting Memories #91

"How Do You Fold" We want to see your folding techniques on your LO's! This is my mad money. It won't go to far cuz it's only 7 bucks! If you need some more inspiration use this sketch. It's not required but it is COOL!
You can kinda tell how the dollars are folded (it's much like a fan fold flower.)
These do make perfect gifts, if you want to give someone money and you don't just want to hand them a wad of money, you can make them a money tree or a few butterflies on a plant...
The winner gets a GOODY BAG from Scrappin' Fun from our very own Karen and it's a surprise! I love it, it's like Christmas!
