I did follow the sketch and you can too if you want but you don't have to.
My LO is a hybrid. It's only part digital.
I printed it and laminated and added my quilling border around my pic (I think it looks like lace!) Also found these newspaper articles and they fit the sketch (I know my border is missing a jewel, I replaced it after I took the photo) This is how I remember my MOM, she passed away at 32.
