Second entry for Lasting Memories Frames & flowers

I know this song is sad but I think it is beautiful, as is my Mother. This song is called "If I die young" by "The Band Perry"
Sadly she did die young and she was buried in pink satin hence the satin ribbon & bow. However I feel comfort in knowing she is saving me a good seat but I know they are all good seats but she is with my Grandmother who always insisted on the front.
Of course I did this LO with MDS!
I did frame her pic and put it down on a bed of roses.
SEE MICHELE, I GET EMOTIONAL TOO!

Stampin' Sisters in Christ & SUO challenges

At Stampin' Sisters in Christ where you are inspired by scripture and the scripture is John 16:33. We are to use either "Blessing" or an encouraging scripture.
At SUO, we are to use Fall Colors and 100% SU.  I learned something new, I wanted My card to look like a sunrise so used overlays. I used My Digital Studio by SU and I inked my sun and made (what I think it looks like) dry embossing.

SUO Challenge #28 Fall Colors

This is an SU challenge only. I love my MDS! The owner said I could use it!
These are mum's from my garden and as you can see it's a very colorful time of the year! (that is, IF YOU DON'T HAVE A NEW PUPPY!)

A La Card Monkey Challenge Entry #75

It's almost Christmas time, can you believe it?! At A La Card Monkey, it's time to make our monthly Christmas card and use this sketch.
My card looks like it's dry embossed huh! How fun is this!

Shirley's Monster Mash Halloween bloghop wk 7

Why oh why can I never do anything simple?! I always seem to try new things that make "Whatever" complicated! But it's alot of FUN anyhoo!
I made the snake and each little circle was a different entity! The tongue was a flag punch (pretty cool huh!) The whole thing is digital.

Fashionable Stamping Challenges. Vintage

We were challenged to do a vintage project at Fashionable Stamping. Love vintage!
Notice it says "STAMPING" No digi's are allowed! No digital here (surprised?!) I made a side step card FUN! I had an extra fan fold flower, I made sitting on my table, so I used it cuz I didn't want to get up and it really fit my project. I also made a lace flower out of hem lace. My designer paper is from Hobby Lobby.
I had this stamp forever and never used it but I really like this stamp. I wanted it to have just a hint of color so I chalked it, cut it out with my cuttlebug and used a slightly larger oval and tore it, inked it with metallic gold stazon so it would look old and mounted that on some CS that I stamped a corner image on, and then put that in a embossed frame.

I also stamped roses and colored them with chalk and then cut them out and inked them. My label was stamped with alphabet typewriter keys stamps I've had forever. I tore that out also and inked it to make it look old as well.

Scrapbookers Anonymous Mini challenge "Game pieces"

At Scrapbookers Anonymous they're having some GREAT mini challenges to celebrate their birthday. I'm trying to get as many challenges done as possible but having hard time keeping up, there's so many but they sure are FUN!
I didn't have any extra game pieces but my friends mother was going to give me any game pieces to their games, even if it ruined the game! LOL! But my friend did give me these cutesy little playing cards. They are so cute, I just want to save them! But for what? (I'm thinkin' I must be a hoarder!)

Flutterby Wednesday #172 Anything goes

It was an open challenge this week at Flutterby. This is the first time I tried this  spinner card. I got the instructions from YouTube. Now I know your card stock or designer paper needs to be thick. My DP is from SU and double-sided. I cut out a couple of butterflies with my cuttlebug and the other one is from Michaels and the flowers...?
I stamped my sentiment from SU and also stamped the border with SU and they have a punch that fits the design perfectly. SU designs alot of punches that fit their stamped images.
My butterfly looks like it's floating and the other side is pretty also, I just like this side better!

Stampin' Sisters in Christ #107

Boy was I thrilled to get the Shining Star for the challenge last week!
Stampin' Sisters in Christ is a challenge blog that is inspired by scripture and this week it is Isaiah 40:31. Use wings and a biblical verse or quote on your project. I chose one of my Favorite verses, I even have it on my FB page!
                            "This is all digital"

Lasting Memories challenge #56 Fall colors

At Lasting Memories we were challenged to use a sketch and fall colors. I really love sketches and fall colors but it was very challenging cuz they were wearing PINK. Now how do I use fall colors when they're wearing pink and I don't want my colors or my photos to compete with each other (I think I got it!)
Check out the AWESOME lo's that the DT members did!
Here's the sketch (Boy, Karen sure does pick some pretty sketches!)

Lena's mini stash challenge at Scrapbookers Anonymous

This was really alot of fun! I've never done this before. Here's my cheers project for Scrapbookers Anonymous' birthday month!
I cut out pictures from a magazine put them together "MY WAY"! I decorated this shoebox lid with my collage and then added a "CHEERS" sticker from Michaels. (Lena, I hope I did it right!)

Scrapbookers Anonymous A-Z challenge

This month's A-Z challenge at Scrapbookers Anonymous is "B". I chose "BIRD". I tried to find as many bird things that I had. Most of the stuff I found was SU.
This me in 1960.

Flutterby Wednesday #171 Anything goes

Flutterby's challenge is open all this month. As long as you put a butterfly, fairy, or angel on your project. I did two, a butterfly and an angel.
My main card is digital but I made a flower, it's a fan fold flower. I wanted it to look like lace so I scored it first then I used my Martha Stewart border punch. I found this beautiful Cherub at Hobby Lobby.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ #106

Stampin' Sisters in Christ is inspired by scripture and this week it is
Matthew 7:7-8.
Our projects have to contain either a door or a window. I chose to make a gatefold card that looks like a door. (I think!) I cut out all my pieces of SU CS and glued them down after I embossed the smaller rectangles with my cuttlebug. I chalked them afterward. The lock & key were found at Hobby Lobby. I stamped a flower on the inside pieces  and added the scripture I printed from WORD!

Lasting Memories challenge #55 Black & white

Boy is this challenging! No color except Black and White, even the photos! (HARD)
I did everything in Black & White except one photo and I hid that one. It's all digital except my hidden pic.
This is my puppy (Sam) "Isn't he cute!?" The hidden pic is of him sticking his nose in the camera and the pic turned out adorable. He weighs about 50 or 55 lbs. but he's only 5 months old. They told me he would grow into his paws but his paws keep growing LOL! ( of course he is the biggest in his puppy class)

Scrapbudz entry

SCRAPBUDZ challenged us to use this photo. Why does this photo inspire you?!
Besides the beautiful colors, I saw wedding and layers.
This my Aunt & uncle's wedding in 1958.
I would love to see what you come up with, SO ENTER!

Scrapbookers Anonymous & Fashionable Stamping Challenges

Scrapbookers Anonymous had a mini challenge,"only journaling, no pics" I thought of the perfect LO. I didn't take any pics of my Brother in the Air Force (I THOUGHT!) I also did some more journaling above my tag and tore and distressed the edges. I guess I'm kind of a hoarder. These are letters he sent and this is his ACTUAL hair!
At Fashionable Stamping we were challenged to make some sort of a tag. I did manage to find one incy pic and I made a tag with it. I stamped the corner stamps and some decoration and the date with some stamps from my rather large stash. I also covered the chipboard tag with some DP. I distressed and tore the edges so it would look old.

Scrapbookers Anonymous Chipboard

At scrapbookers Anonymous we were challenged to use as much chipboard as possible!

My title is chipboard and I covered it with matching cutouts that I got from my friend when she had the store Scrap Trap also my tags are from the same company. On one I put some letter stickers and bling after I used a file to rough it up and tapped it with a stazon ink pad. The other I did the same thing with the stazon and wrapped it with ribbon and applied popped up stickers. Also my HELLO flower is chipboard also.
We really were the new kids on the block! (we had just moved there!)

Flutterby Wednesday #171 Anything goes

It's Danni's birthday month. Pop over to Flutterby Wednesday and wish her a Happy Birthday!
This is a hybrid card. The main card base, I did with my digital software. I cut out my butterfly and embossed it twice(with my cuttlebug) so it would look fluttery and of course I added bling. My bling swirl on my butterfly didn't quite fit so I cut it.

Shirley's Monster Mash Halloween bloghop

Shirley's Halloween bloghop is so much fun!

I didn't have any SU stamps for Halloween but I had MDS. The only thing that is not SU is the little pumpkins. I printed my spiders from MDS on velum for the windows and cut out my windows with my cuttlebug with spellbinders. I also Printed my paper and awnings from MDS but then I laminated them.
